AAAHC V45 UPDATE

We have reviewed the newly released V45 Standards from AAAHC released on August 18th, 2026. Grey & Co. has prepared a summary of substantive changes in the new handbook and this is available for download to all Maintenance & Comprehensive clients and may be purchased as a single document or in a bundle with samples for Time & Expense clients.

Substantive changes were noted in many standards sections including ADM Administration, CRD Clinical Records, GOV Governance, LRD Laboratory & Radiology, and SAF Safety. The changes made primarily center around the cybersecurity and the appropriate use and oversight of AI in the center. Changes unrelated to AI use included “test results are made available to the ordering provider within the timeframes established by the organization,” and “a written radiation exposure plan complies with ALARA principles.”

The effective date for V45 is December 15th, 2026, but we recommend implementing this changes as soon as possible for your organization. A digital copy of the new handbook can be downloaded via your 1095 portal. 

BENCHMARKING

Q3 submissions will be due on October 15th. Please make sure any late submissions are submitted as no data will be integrated into the 2026 study after the end of the calendar year.
